Sami Scheuring

We are privileged that Sami Scheuring has agreed to be our Senior Judge at MHOYS 2022. IMHPS Members, do bring along your very best horses to honour this very special lady agreeing to travel so far to see both you and them at our 27th Miniature Horse of the Year show.

Sami Scheuring Brings to the Horse show Arena 26 years of dedicated judging and education and training. She, her husband, Dr Ron Scheuring DVM and their family own and operate one the finest miniature Horse Breeding Farms in the industry. It has bee a lifestyle for the Scheurings for over 43 years. Sami has a passion for the Athletic Equines and brings that knowledge into the show ring along with her eye for the balance and quality of the halter equine.

Sami was the first female AMHA Director. She has served as an AMHR Area 9 Director. Sami developed and was President and serving board member on the prestigious Norcal Miniature Horse Club for several years. She developed the first AMHA Show rulebook with Mr. Don Matthews and Mr. Lee Martin and put it into form and format. Sami has served on many committees and has chaired several over the years. Serving on the AMHA Licensed Officials Committee for over 15 years has been one of the most rewarding. Her belief that the judging of sanctioned shows dictates the direction of all breeds, pushes her to strive for success of all equines with the highest degree of judging standards and education.

Sami holds a degree in education for Sonoma State University and carries a Certified Meeting and Event Planning credential for San Francisco State University. She has judged National or World Shows in France, Belgium, Germany, New Zealand, Australia as well as the US and Canada. She is a devoted facilitator of Seminars and Clinics in all areas of the equine education in all corners of the world. It is that devotion that keeps her passion for the Animals she judges and the exhibitors she serves to the highest degree of respect and integrity.
